I’ve always loved gardening. My Gramdfather showed me how to grow a lettuce when I was just a toddler and I was hooked. I still feel his presence when I smell the aroma of tomato plants in a warm greenhouse.
He also taught me how to care for chickens and natural first aid remedies for animals and people. Most of all he taught me how to love, respect and enjoy being in nature. He loved his gardens and taught me to do the same.
Back in 1999, I became interested in organic gardening and started my own organic plant nursery and veg box scheme. Even though I had to close the business (long story) I’ve always maintained my love of gardening my belief that we should be not only sustaining our soil, but also regenerating it.
Our Garden Plans
We have 14000 square metres – around 3 and a half acres – of land to play with here and I’m going all in to create spaces that are not only productive, but therapeutic – appealing to all our senses.
Just so you know, I’m no expert at gardening – I’m an enthusiastic amateur – so I’ll be learning as I go. I’m sure I’ll make lots of mistakes, but I don’t mind. Gardening is all about experimenting and having fun.
I’m so excited to turn this land into something really special.

I like gardening – it’s a place where I find myself when I need to lose myself.
